Talk: Concept Pitch

  • Kulturtanken Studio 2 Gullhaug Torg Oslo, Oslo Norway (kart)

What does a concept pitch mean?
Who is it for?
Is it really a good option for sustainable and economical touring?

We in ASSITEJ Norway believe that concept pitching might be a really good option for the future of touring, but there are some details we have yet to figure out.
What fees are applicable when an artistic team exports their performance to be set up locally?
What is the value of a “concept”?
What incentives are there for this kind of touring?
What are the pros and cons?
What kind of funding would it require?

These are some of the questions we want to explorer during this talk. We welcome a panel of professionals who have had their concepts exported and those who work in the systems that could make this a viable option for artists to reach internationally with text-based performances for young audiences.

Welcome to an exciting talk about the potential future of touring!

The Panel:
Teater Leikhus - Recently exported their concept “The Crowd” to Lithuania.
Hilde Brinchmann - Theatre Director of Tigerstadsteatret
Siri Leonardsen - Board Member Performing Arts Hub Norway (PAHN)
Marit Grimstad Eggen - Norwegian Arts Council

Aud Kristine Horseng - Nordland The Cultural Schoolbag

Moderated by: Ingvild Lien - CEO of ASSITEJ Norway and festival director of INAF
