Hansel and Gretel Machine which was recreated in 35 countries as part of his Lost Child Project Gormenghast, an adaption of the first two books of the Gormenghast Trilogy that has its roots in the gothic melodrama of adolescence. This production performed to over 150,000 people in 36 countries.

David will complete the talk by discussing the Ensemble’s Galapagos Project that David is cheekily calling the Lion King for the 21st Century. A hugely ambitious multi-platformed work for young people and their families.

Along with Ken Robinson David Glass is recognised as a world pioneer and champion in the methodology and vital necessity for creative learning and creative culture for our young. His 25 country Lost Child Project - one of the largest marginalised young people and arts projects in the world - Alchemy of the Extraordinary creative learning program and framework used by the UN and now centered in Athens - and now as he embarks on Galapagos' The Arck ( A co-creation with David Pearl) with which uses story and imagination as a regenerative tool at this time of climate crisis - David will talk about the centrality of play and imaginative thinking and its importance in growing our future by enshrining the ‘right of play ‘ in our cultures of learning. A right we need more than ever at this time of extraordinary change.
